ABOUT

This change of environment had led him to explore the possibilities of dance/movement/performance outside the confined space of a studio and exclusivity of a company. 

 

Together with Gil Ravago and Kuan-Yu Chen, they set up DanceOutHK in 2013 and has presented works for festivals in Hong Kong and China. 

 

Recently he collaborated with Marah Arcilla for "Mood Swings" which premiered at HK International Choreography Festival in April of this Year. They also performed the said piece in Dance.MNL festival last June 2016 in the Philippines.

He was studying his bachelor's degree in Technical Theater, Fashion Design and Merchandising at the De La Salle -College of St. Benilde when he started his professional career in the performing arts with  Airdance (Philippines) competing delegation for a National Modern Dance Competition in 2004. He then continued dancing for the company for festivals, expos and shows in the Philippines and overseas. He has worked with Paul Morales (former Artistic Director of Airdance and the present Artistic Director of Ballet Philippines),  Myra Beltran(DanceForum) and Donna Miranda(Green Papaya Art Projects). He was a recipient of the DanceWeb European Scholarship for Contemporary Dance in 2006 held in Vienna, Austria. Upon his return, he became part Airdance’s pull of resident dance teachers and choreographers. He was part of the 5th Asia-Europe Dance Forum Pointe to Point held in Beijing and Guizhou, China in 2007, as an artist in residence. He left the contemporary dance scene in Manila to work for Hong Kong Disneyland in 2008 as a dancer and has been working in Hong Kong until the time being.
